What is the Hank Williams Sr Talent Showcase?
The Hank Williams Sr Talent Showcase is a regional talent competition that is held in Georgiana, AL. Hank Williams Sr's boyhood hometown. Returning to the GA-ANA Theater in 1939, Hank was 16 yrs old. To celebrate what would have been Hank, Sr's 100th Birthday, our 1st Annual competition will be a VOCAL ONLY competition. Presented by The Georgiana Opry House.
Why are you doing this?
One of our goals at The Georgiana Opry House is to recognize young artists in our region and it is our hope that this event will bring attention to the existing arts community and promote engagement with cultural organizations in Alabama.
Who can enter?
Anyone who is a legal resident of the United States. Due to our competition highlighting the young talent in this regional vocal showcase, you must be born between Midnight, May 4, 2003. and Midnight, May 4, 2008. (Contest is open to everyone 16-21 years old.)
Is there a cost?
Yes. There is a one time $50.00 (non-refundable) entry fee.
When is the competition?
The 'Live' competition will be held at The Georgiana Opry House, May 4, 2024 at 6:00 PM

Each contestant may either sing with an instrumental accompaniment from a karaoke/music file/track or they may play their own acoustic instrument to accompany themselves.
(A piano will be available for the live competition)
How do l enter?
The official application will be available once your entry fee is paid. The competition is a
two tier process. The first stage is submission of a video demo of you singing your selection. The video submission deadline is Friday March 1, 2024. The second stage is a 'Live' performance in front of celebrity judges.
What genres are welcome?
Anyone, performing any genre, can enter. Pick a song that highlights your artistic and musical style and demonstrates the best qualities of your voice.

If you are selected as a finalist you must choose ‘appropriate for everyone' material to participate in the live competition. We are a family oriented venue and we are committed to producing a show
for all ages.
